Economics Department Learning Goals

The ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ Department of Economics prepares students to:

  • Demonstrate understanding of key economic concepts using quantitative reasoning, written communication, and oral presentation
  • Identify model assumptions and assess implications from diverse economic perspectives
  • Critically analyze and evaluate economic issues in local, national, and global contexts
  • Develop evidence-backed solutions to real-world problems by using the appropriate statistical techniques, quantitative and/or qualitative data analysis methods.
