  • : Use WorldCat to search for books, journals, or audiovisual materials in the McCain Library collection.
  • : Alphabetical list of all databases to which McCain Library has access. You can also filter the list by subject or type of material.
  • : Search or browse for electronic (full-text online) journals, magazines, and newspapers. Also identifies print periodicals and microfilm holdings in McCain Library.

  • : Meet one-on-one with a librarian to discuss strategies for discovering a research topic, tackling a research project, or accessing the resources you need. Appointments may be scheduled in-person or virtually through Zoom, Google Hangouts, or telephone 9am - 5pm Monday through Friday during the regular fall or spring semester.
  • : Can’t remember the name of a research tool recommended in class? Having trouble accessing a source? Receive quick help from anywhere on your library- and research-related questions.
  • Walk-in Hours: Meet face-to-face with a librarian at the Scottie Research and Rescue Desk for a quick, unscheduled 15-minute session to receive help getting started with a research project or utilizing McCain Library research tools. Librarians are available at the Scottie Research and Rescue Desk from 1pm - 8pm, Monday - Wednesday, and 1pm - 5pm on Thursdays and Fridays during the regular fall or spring semester.
